Oh so many traditions.

My Uncle was Norwegian so on Christmas Eve we would have Lefsa. My father’s side of the family we always had oyster stew and clam chowder. These days, now that my kids are adults, we have clam chowder on Christmas Eve and lefsa on New Year’s Eve. We also always have lots of peel and eat shrimp and cocktail sauce for New Year’s Eve.

Now on the other hand, my husband is half Taiwanese. We celebrate the lunar new year every year. We have lucky fish, joutsa, egg rolls and some kind of stir fry. This year is the year of the dragon so it is a very lucky year.
